„Ride for your rights! “ Final Conference

One of the projects organized by ESN in honour of 25th anniversary of Erasmus programme is the project „Ride for your rights! “. On 1st June 2012, the final conference of this project took place in Jasques Delors, European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels.

The conference was opened by Julian Walkowiak, president of Campus European Student Council, who presented the whole project. The conference kept on with the interesting presentation about new proposal of European Commission as interpreted by Mrs. Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, the leader of Erasmus team in European Commission. Arunas Mark from European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the host of this conference at the same time had also possibility to address the meeting. After the official part of the conference, panel discussion entitled “Which innovations for mobility programme 2014 - 2020?” took place. Experts in panel discussion were Tania Berman, president of ESN, Joao Bacelar from European University Foundation – Campus Europe and Rok Primozic from European Student Union. After the conference, we all moved in front of the building of European Parliament where bike riders of “Ride for your rights!” were waiting. Riders had just completed their three-day cycle-route from Luxemburg to Brussels and solely opened champagne and raised their glasses for Erasmus programme and education in whole European Union. The conference has been evaluated as a very positive event. At the final conference, ESN Slovakia was represented by its president Mirko Hajnoš.
