A look back at the second edition of our national ESN event

The Journey We Shared

ESN Adventure Train 2026 brought together Erasmus and international students for a unique journey through the heart of Slovakia. The second edition combined special train travel, city stops, cultural experiences, parties, and the energy of the ESN community.

Participants joined from Prague, Bratislava, and Banská Bystrica, travelled together through Slovakia, explored Banská Bystrica, Liptovský Mikuláš, and Košice, and returned with memories from a night train party unlike any other student event.

Thank you to everyone who joined, volunteered, performed, supported, and helped turn the train into a moving international community.

How ESN Adventure Train 2026 unfolded

April 2026

Late evening

Departure from Prague

📅 30 April 2026 (Thursday) - late evening

Adventurer (Prague)

The adventure started already in Prague for participants joining from Czechia, one evening before the official Slovak part of the event.

The train departed in the late evening from Praha-Bubny station.

Participants spent the first night on the train, meeting new friends and getting ready for the adventure ahead.

This part of the journey was available for Adventurer Ticket (Prague) holders.

May 2026

Early morning

Departure from Bratislava

📅 1 May 2026 (Friday) - early morning

Basic Adventurer Full Experience

The Slovak part of the adventure started in Bratislava early in the morning, giving us the full day to travel, explore, and enjoy the programme.

The train departed from Bratislava main station in the morning.

Breakfast was served on the train, with views of the Slovak countryside along the way.

Since 1 May is a public holiday in Slovakia, it was the perfect day to begin the adventure.

Banská Bystrica

📅 1 May 2026 (Friday) - noon

All Tickets

Banská Bystrica welcomed us in the real heart of Slovakia, giving participants time for the first city exploration.

We arrived around the middle of the day and continued from Banská Bystrica main station after the city programme.

Participants had time to explore the city, enjoy the local atmosphere, and capture memories from the first stop.

The city centre also gave everyone time to find lunch before the journey continued.

Afternoon

Liptovský Mikuláš

📅 1 May 2026 (Friday) - afternoon

As we approached the High Tatras, Liptovský Mikuláš showed participants the beauty of the Liptov region.

We arrived in the afternoon and continued from Liptovský Mikuláš in the evening.

Participants had time to explore the city, enjoy the local atmosphere, and capture memories from the first stop.

After the stop, dinner was served on the train as the journey continued towards Košice.

📅 1 May 2026 (Friday) - late evening

Our train stopped in Košice for approximately 24 hours, giving participants a full day to explore the second biggest city of Slovakia.

People sleeping:

In the accommodation will be transferred to the apartments
On the train will stay on the train, which will be parked in the Barca station of Košice (a borough of Košice).

During the Saturday it is up to you - you can do your own thing, but we will prepare a lot of activities and events in the city, so you won't be bored.

Everyone hopped back on the train full of memories and party energy, ready for two stages and a variety of DJs on board.

The return journey started from the Košice area in the evening, with participants from accommodation joining back before the night programme.

The night was long, so a party snack was prepared on the train. The party continued until the early morning arrival in Bratislava.

Short technical stops helped keep the long night manageable while the party continued on board.

Bratislava was the final destination after an unforgettable journey filled with memories, new friendships, and very little sleep.

The train arrived at Bratislava main station early on Sunday morning.

During the night, the train also stopped in Žilina and Trnava, where students from these cities could get off.

Yes. The second edition took place from 30 April to 3 May 2026. Registration is now closed, and this page now serves as a recap of the completed journey.
